As a jetsetter I have learned how to make travel easy, comfortable and an overall lifestyle. This list of things I always travel with add value to every one of my trips in one way or another.
Colgate wisps. These are great especially for long haul flights to do a quick refresh before landing. It gives me the fresh brushed teethe feeling without having to brush my teeth on board the aircraft. It’s so nice feeling rejuvenated as I navigate from touchdown to hotel check in.
My vlogging camera. This is a given but to anyone contemplating starting a YouTube channel. Pick up your camera and just start recording! Even if it's just on your iPhone. That is what I started with. Seize the moment.
My favorite tea bags. Just add hot water! Whether I am on the plane or in my hotel room ready for bed. Having hot tea bags make for a cozy travel experience and bring a little bit of home with me wherever I go. I don’t frequently use them but whenever I do, I am always so happy to have them on hand. It's nice to take a little piece of home with me.
A waterproof bag for potential wet swimsuit
Wet clothing bags typically aren’t something that are on anyone’s radar, but they solve so many potential problems. In case you want to take that last moment to see a new beach before your evening departure, you dive in and then are left with a sopping wet bikini or swim trunks that won’t have time to air dry. A wet clothing bag can keep them from soaking into everything else in your suitcase. I use mine a great deal more than I expected to when I originally bought it.
A rain poncho or umbrella
I keep a foldable plastic rain poncho in my suitcase at all times in case of unexpected showers. I've learned the hard way quite a few times on this one.
Waterproof band-aides and Neosporin
On two occasions, I was walking on the beach taking in the beautiful and gorgeous scenery when suddenly a sharp pinch followed by a gradually increasing pain interrupts my peace. UGH! I stepped on a sharp seashell, and it punctured the bottom of my foot! That can be such a nagging pain on vacation when getting into the saltwater seas. Waterproof Band-aids are a problem solver! Accidents happen.
A foldable bag
During the time that I am in a new destination, it is handy to have a bag that can carry anything I may end up with while I am out exploring should I need it. Foldable bags are so convenient because they don’t take up much of any space, can fit in a back pocket easily, but unfold to a very efficient tool in the event that I have some leftover food, find a cool shop and accumulate some extra things to carry back with me.
A powerpack for my cell phone.
For safety reasons, it is always good to have an extra power source handy in the event of an emergency. It’s a small investment upfront but well worth the security knowing that I don’t have to rely on searching for an outlet to recharge.
Hand Balm/ Sanitizer and Facial Mist
If you fly often, you know that the air on planes is another level of dry! I've found that Ritual of Sakura hand balm is a skin saver! Any time my hands get dry I use it and it immediately penetrates the surface of the dry skin and leaves my hands feeling so soft, Not to mention the fragrance is heaven!
Oatmeal and Instant Coffee
Guys, you might think this one is different but I'm telling you! I just keep a couple of instant steel cut oats in my bag. On the plane ask for hot water, fill that bad boy up to the hot line and then add instant coffee to the remaining hot water. It's a masterpiece. You are still eating healthy and getting full after the hurry up and wait game in the airport terminal. Plus it's so cost effective! You can thank me later.
Hopefully this list adds some value to your upcoming travel plans!
