I see what all of the hype is about with Tulum now a days. A group of about 20 of us spent the weekend in Tulum and had an absolute BLAST! Tulum owes me nothing!
Transportation and Accommodations
Upon our arrival, we went through Sixt to rent passenger vans to cut the costs of transportation. First things first, the vans all had manual engines so if you are planning to rent in the Tulum or Cancun area, be sure to verify that upfront if you can't operate a manual. Luckily for us, we had some people in the group who knew how to drive these vans. Once we got that figured out, we drove about an hour and a half from CUN to Tulum.
We stayed at the Casa Remi Airbnb. It was SO BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, the listing is temporarily unavailable on Airbnb so I've linked another great option here. Through our Airbnb we also decided to hire a private chef: Dalia Gomez with Tulum Chef Service. The meals were so delicious! For our group, the price was $1,940 which was about $95 per person. It was very cost effective and so convenient having all of our meals prepared. If there were left overs we had access to those in the refrigerator so we always had something to eat and drinks available without having to go to a market.

COVID Requirements
Traveling to Mexico was very different than traveling to other countries. It was wide open! There is no COVID test required for entry into Mexico but you have to receive a negative covid test to return to the United States within 72 hours of arrival. We had on site testing. We contacted COSTAMED and they sent a team out to Casa Remi to do our COVID tests. We all received our results via email within three hours. I believe they were cash only. It cost $55 dollars per person.
What to do in Tulum
Yacht Rental
We had so much fun oh my goodness!! We rented a Yacht through H2OH Sun Cruises.

From the start to the finish we had the time of our lives. The crew was amazing and so entertaining! They fit in so well with our group ha! They provided a delicious meal for lunch and dessert. There was an open bar and they could make just about anything. frozen or on the rocks. For our group, we rented the Pura Vida Yacht and we selected the snorkel cruise package. It cost $1,995 which came out to be about $95 per person. We departed at 1:30, navigated to Inha Reef, anchored the boat, I got some AWESOME drone shots using my DJI Mini 2 Drone and after that we head back to the dock. If you haven't seen my Tulum Youtube Vlog here it is.=) HIGHLY RECOMMEND H2OH Sun cruises you guys. This was such an awesome experience.
Beach Club
We went to Tantra Beach Club. We started off at Taboo which was right next door. Taboo did not have our table ready because we were late to our reservation. They sat us at a table that was pretty far off of the beach and gave us tap water (that they told us cost $100). We decided Tantra would be able to accommodate our group with more of what we hoped for and it was a GREAT CHOICE. If you are looking for a fun, live and luxe experience. Tantra is a perfect spot. We had such a blast. We had a section and stayed for a pretty long time. There was live music, dancing, and this super cool moment when everyone was handed sparklers... I ordered the lobster tacos and they were delicious. Tantra cost $150 per person. It was a little bit on the expensive end but they did provide us with some drinks, hookah (which I don't smoke) and finger foods. The tacos, cocktails, and bottles are all an additional charge. I highly recommend Tantra. If you go to Taboo just.. don't be late.
Cenote Calavera
We went to Cenote Calavera which was such a cute and pleasant day. I jumped in one

time and that was enough for me. It was also pretty small for the size of our group but we made the most of it! It cost us $17 dollars per person. We didn't have exact change so we each paid $20. There are other popular cenotes in the area. Next time I go back I would most certainly go to a different Cenote. Here is a link with some of the best cenotes to visit. Thank you for reading! Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
